Zaha Hadid’s tasting pavillion at Bodegas R. Lopez de Heredia Vina Tondonia, as well as the cavernous interior of Santiago Calatrava’s Bodegas Ysios are featured this month in Travel + Leisure magazine, in an article entitled, “The World’s Most Spectacular Tasting Rooms.”
“If you’re into architecture you should immediately go to Rioja,” says Food & Wine Magazine wine editor Ray Isle, interviewed for the article.
“While Rioja is a perfectly pretty place,” he goes on, “it’s not spectacular…It doesn’t have craggy peaks and snow-covered mountains. But they’ve made up for that with extraordinary architecture.”
